Basaltina is a compact and uniform lava stone, dark gray in colour, excavated in Bagnoregio (Viterbo), near Lake Bolsena.
With a compact and uniform structure, Basaltina has physical-mechanical characteristics of non-freezing and resistant to both wear and frost, traditionally used in street furniture for its excellent resistance qualities, Basaltina also enjoys considerable success in construction, especially for its gray color which easily combines with other materials.
