The Pearl of Sicily it is a marble extracted in the Custonaci area, in western Sicily. Composed of fossiliferous limestone, it has a light ivory/brown color with more or less dark shades and with the characteristic patches of pure calcite that recall the mother-of-pearl of the inside of shells.
